About
I have always been surrounded and inspired by crafts-people in my life. My grandfather made me my very first Barbie dollhouse out of wood, my grandmother loves to paint and my mum and aunt taught me how to sew my own clothes.
As a teenager my grandmother took me to a short jewellery class to make my very own pair of earrings; this was my first experience of crafting my own jewellery and the experience enthralled me. It gave me the bug and for some time after I would make colourful statement pieces and hunt for unusual and colourful beads in craft shops all around the country.
Sometimes different dreams have a bigger pull and in my early twenties I decided to go and find out what was beyond the city in which I grew up. I moved to a different country and joined an airline as a cabin crew member. Twelve years on I still travel the world, I lead a team on board and enjoy the lifestyle that it brings me.
I have however more recently, very much felt like there was something missing; a very strong sense that I wanted to put something out there into the world and make something with my own hands. I booked myself a jewellery course, practiced during every spare hour that I could find: the rest, as they say, is history.
I am excited for the road ahead and I am eager to continue to learn and perfect my craft every day.
I am a one man band and as a result I have decided to concentrate on small one-of-a-kind collections made from recycled precious metals, all my items are very personal and have been given a lot of thought and care.
I take my inspiration from my travels, the countries that I visit, the nature that I explore on foot and the furry friends that I meet along the way.
I am very grateful that you have decided to stop by for a second and I hope that you enjoy seeing the pieces that I create and following me on this incredible journey.
With love,
Lisette
